National Minimum Wage Rates 2023

What are the UK Minimum Wage Rates?

The National Minumum Wage (NMW) is the minimum pay per hour that most workers under the age of 25 are entitled to by law.  The Government’s National Living Wage (NLW) is the equivalent rate for most workers aged 25 and over.  Both rates normally increase in April each year.  The hourly rates and annual salary equivalents that are effective from 1st April 2022 are detailed in the table which you can view and download.

What are the Workplace Pension Contribution levels?

The phasing in period for auto enrolment into the Workplace Pensions scheme has now ended.  The vast majority of employers must enrol their staff (and any new starters) into a Workplace Pension, employees can choose to opt out.  Contribution levels have been fixed for 2018 and they will rise again in April 2019.
