About Alex Lees

Alex has been a member of our team since 2012 when we became his official player sponsor with Yorkshire County Cricket Club.

His career progression has mirrored the growth of our business, however, we were concerned that our association had somehow jinxed him in the sodden summer of 2012.

We need not have worried because Alex has gone on to break into the 1st team, win his county cap and gain international recognition.

Halifax born Lees has formed a solid partnership with Adam Lyth at the top of the order for Yorkshire which was a crucial part of their County Championship title success in 2014 and the follow up in 2015.

His efforts were noted and brought him a number of individual honours as Young Player of the Year from the Professional Cricketers Association, Yorkshire CCC and the Cricket Writer’s Club.

Alex was appointed as captain of the Yorkshire Vikings for the 2016 season so he leads the county in all one-day cricket competitions.

To mark our sixth birthday year, we have teamed up with Alex to Hit Cancer for Six.  We are dontating £10 to the Laura Crane Youth Cancer Trust for every six he hits and every catch he takes in 2016 - we would love others to support us and dontate through the year.  You can read about Alex's emotional connection with the cause on our Blog page and donate via the Just Giving link on that page.
